COEM strives at every point to improve the student's prospects so that he/she may get a better job/ career placement; and to increase the amount of learning that the student receives at the college.

It is with this aim that COEM offers dual majors (dual specializations) on all full time & part time courses. These dual majors ensure that the student specializes in two subjects during his/ her course.

The core subjects remain that of the course that has been chosen. For example, if the student chooses an Event management course, his/ her core subjects shall be event management. The Dual Major subject will be an additional specialization. The Diploma that the student earns will thus be a dual major diploma: for example, Diploma in Event Management & Media.

The Dual Major is optional. The student may either opt for a single specialization or a dual specialization. If a part time student opts for a dual major diploma, a small amount will be charged, extra.
